The Wire on Relational Intelligence...
E.M. Hay
Senior Pastor

Most of us with children and/or grandchildren are familiar with the term “IQ or Intelligence Quotient.”  It is a score derived from one of several different standardized tests attempting to measure a person’s intelligence.

Relational Intelligence or “RI” deals with everyday life in that each one of us has been created to be in relationship with each other and God.  We believe that we are called to live intelligently in all areas of our lives- including relationships.  We want to help you develop skills that will enhance how you live in your relationships with God and others.

Beginning on March 30, 2008 and going through April 27, 2008, we are going to talk about our  the areas of  Relational Intelligence.  In this series, we will look at conflict, encouragement, acceptance, forgiveness and intimacy.  Each of us- in light of God’s Word- will be challenged to measure and expand our ability to build Christlike relationships at work, at church and in our homes. We will learn together that our ability to relate to others is in direct proportion to our willingness to relate to God. Since God relates to us, we are freed to relate to others.

I’m sure that most of us could improve our “RI”!  Bring your Bible and an open heart, and let’s join together as we learn God’s way to build healthy relationships. We will also be providing you with a daily devotion that will focus on the five topics of relational intelligence. They will be available in your Bible Study class, on the web or in the Worship Center.

NRBC News
April 14, 2008 -

After many weeks of traffic chaos, the Noland Road bridge has finally re-opened!  There is limited and somewhat congested access to Noland via I-70, but with a little patience, you can now access Noland Road from the interstate.  MODOT will continue to have ramps closed in rotation.  Please take note of signs for further information.  Thank you for your continued loyalty to NRBC even in the midst of the traffic situation.
