Global Focus Missions Awareness Focusing in on a world in need of Jesus... The Global Focus Teams at Noland Road Baptist Church are focused 100% on the need for the world to see Jesus. They place a specific focus on Local, National and Global missions needs. If you walk down the hall near the Worship Center, you can see the photos and bios of many missionaries that NRBC is affiliated with. There is always a need for helpers in gathering the harvest. In Luke 10, we are shown our example. "¹After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. ²He told them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. ³Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves." It's the heart of these teams to support those who are the lambs among wolves, and also to be the lambs among wolves. Our harvest field is the number of people who do not know the saving grace of Jesus Christ, and as followers of Him, surely we can all agree that number is plentiful, and the workers are few. Global Focus - Upcoming Opportunities to Serve our Global Focus Mission Partners *Upcoming Opportunities to Serve our Global Focus Mission Partners* *Praises* Youth Works with Local Ministries and Visits Shut-in Members Did you know that during Disciple Now weekend, the youth participatedin seven local service projects andvisited four shut-in members of NRBC? The ministries theyserved are: K.C. Rescue Mission City Union Mission Salvation Army Hillcrest Hope Lodge of Kansas City New Horizons Center Women’s Clinic/Lifeguard Development Take time to encourage these young people when you see them in the halls. God is doing great things in the NRBC youth ministry. Thanks students. We appreciate you!!! Hope Lodge A group spent the evening of March 4 at Hope Lodge ministering to cancer patients and their families. This was a fun night of food, fellowship, and bingo. Watch for the next opportunity to serve – you will be blessed. (Local Global Focus and Women’s Ministry Effort – Sharri Hacker, NRBC Champion) Bible Study Class Assists Local Ministry Partner The Grace Messenger Sunday School class is supplying snacks for seven weeks to clients attending parenting classes at the Kansas City Women’s Clinic. Is your Bible Study class supporting one of our Global Focus Partners? If you are, please put a note in the National Team slot in the church work room. The Global Focus teams would love to share this news with our church family. *Upcoming Opportunities to Serve our Global Focus Mission Partners* July 4-20 China Mission Trip NRBC will be starting a teacher training partnership in China. (International Global Focus Effort) July 21-28 Won-by-One to Jamaica Youth and adult sponsors will travel to Harmons Jamaica again this summer to work with Won-by-One to Jamaica. (International Global Focus Effort – Wes Wakefield, Minister to Students) July 13-19 The Journey We are still waiting for final details on a sports camps in West Chester PA, working with David Pearson at The Journey. If you are interested in this trip and did not attend the February 24 meeting, please contact Katie Schoneboom or Tracy Strifler. (National Global Focus Effort) Please note: there were not enough people available to send a team to the Rodeo Bible Camp this summer. We continue to partner with Pastor Shorty and In His Rein Ministries and will make the opportunity available again next year. After many weeks of traffic chaos, the Noland Road bridge has finally re-opened! There is limited and somewhat congested access to Noland via I-70, but with a little patience, you can now access Noland Road from the interstate. MODOT will continue to have ramps closed in rotation. Please take note of signs for further information. Thank you for your continued loyalty to NRBC even in the midst of the traffic situation.
