Response to Haiti Crisis

Noland Road Baptist Church, through our Global Focus International Team, is extending help to the people of Haiti after the earthquake that hit on January 12, 2010. The immediate need is PRAYER for the people of Haiti, those who have been injured, those who have lost loved ones, and for the relief workers. The second need is GIVING so that resources can make their way to Haiti in the form of water, food, supplies, fuel etc. And finally to GO and be present to help when the time is right. We already had a trip scheduled to Haiti for July before the earthquake hit, and we will be trying to schedule another trip for this spring also.
We have and will continue to receive special monetary offerings to help in the relief effort. On Sunday mornings, you may use an envelope and mark "Haiti" by the 'Other' line and indicate the amount you wish to contribute.
The money received will be sent to our Global Focus International Mission partner House of Bread (Jim & Gayle Durham) 50% as well as to the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief teams through the International Mission Board, 25% and the North American Mission Board 25%.
